Training Required
DVM/VMD Licensed to practice in WI; USDA Level II Accreditation
Experience Desired
Looking for Associate that is proficient in rectal palpation as well as ultrasound. Should have a basic understanding of production animal medicine, individual cow medicine, and able to perform common on farm surgical procedures

Other Personnel
We have 2 full-time DVMs willing to provide a good learning environment and mentorship, accommodating a new graduate to transition from student to practicing DVM. We have one Veterinary Assistant who helps with herd checks and does our in-house lab testing. We have 2 office support staff as well. We have always been willing to let DVM pursue areas of interest within the practice.
Practice strengths and emphasis of the business
We provide high-quality veterinary services to our clients. Our focus is on reproduction and overall herd health as well as providing top level individual patient medicine and surgery. With herds from less than 100 milking to over 5,000, tie stall, to free stall to robotic barns, there is plenty of opportunity to hone your skills and find your passion. We offer DC305 records analysis and record keeping to our clients. We have an in-house chemistry and CBC analyzer. We are certified with USDA to do Johne's testing and do regular BVD-PI testing too.

Northwoods Veterinary Service is located outside the village of Birnamwood in the town of Norrie, WI which is 30 miles from the Wausau and Granite Peak Ski communities, and only 80 miles from Green Bay!
